Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6
Our teachers and staff have worked very hard this year to make sure we are meeting the needs of every students to the best of our ability. To honor our staff, PTA is asking for your help by donating items to fill the pantry and fridge for our staff this week. We want the staff at College Park Elementary know how much they are appreciated. We have put a cart in the front foyer for you to drop off snacks and drinks for the pantry/fridge for staff this week. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

PTA Board Elections May 5, 2022

STAAR Testing May 9-13
No visitors will be allowed in the building this week due to testing security. Please be sure your 3rd - 5th grade students get a good nights rest all week and eat a good healthy breakfast each morning especially on school days. STAAR report card samples are attached below for better understanding of how to read the STAAR reports you will be receiving once scores arrive. A link to the website for all STAAR information is attached as well.
End of Year AR Party Friday, May 20, 2022
Students who have reached their End Of Year Accelerated Reading goal will be invited to attend the end of year A/R party. Please be sure to send their permission slips back so that they may attend this event. Students without a signed permission slip will not be able to attend. Again, this is only students who have reached their yearly goal. Questions concerning this event should be directed to Mrs. Momin @ mominm@lpisd.org.
5th Grade Rocket Launch Monday, May 23, 2022
Each year Mrs. Finnen has the 5th grade students build their own rockets (sponsored by PTA). Once the rockets are complete, a day is set aside for the students to launch them. This is a fun event for the campus and 5th grade parents are invited to attend provided they have a cleared VOLUNTEER APPLICATION online. (see below for instructions on how to complete the volunteer application) Thank you to Mrs. Finnen and the PTA for providing and supporting such a fun event.

Last day of School **Early Dismissal** 11:20am.
Student will be dismissed at 11:20am. Please check your students folders for their end of year report cards. Put these in a safe place if you are moving or changing schools. You may need them.
