News from Room 4!
August 25, 2016
A few things...
It was very nice meeting you and your children at the "Meet Your Teacher" event. If I didn't get a chance to meet you I look forward to meeting you on Monday.
Thank you to the very generous parents who volunteered to purchase a BIG wish list item for our classroom. I really appreciate it and know your children will benefit from having these items in room 4 this year.
Here are a few things to remember for Monday:
-Please have your child bring all supplies to class ASAP. If you have any questions about the items, please let me know. You can also drop them off today (Friday). I included the list in this email for easy access. The folder will be going back and forth each day so you may want to buy an extra one as a replacement half way through the year. :)
-Send lunches and snacks in separate bags with their name and room number on them. Place a cool pack inside your child's lunchbox to keep all food at a safe temperature. There will be a "Lunch and Snack" bin in the air conditioned hallway. Children will place their lunch and snack into these separate bins as they unpack their backpacks each morning. The carts will be rolled out to the snack and lunch tables at these times.
-First Grade will play on the back playground before school from 8:10 - 8:30. When the bell rings at 8:30 we will all line up on the triangle that has Mrs. Campbell's name on it before proceeding to room 4. Please say your goodbyes on the back playground, I only want students to walk into our room. It makes it very confusing when I have parents joining us in the room.
-At the end of the day, I will walk everyone to the front of the school and send back gate students together to the gate. You may pickup your child on the Kindergarten playground as long as you are there when the bell rings at 2:38; otherwise, they will be waiting for you in the front of the school. If you have other plans like the after school CDC program, please let me know through email.
-Please send in ONE family picture 4 x 6 size.
-I'll go over volunteer times and class procedures at Back to School Night on September 1st.
-Enjoy the last weekend of summer and remember to send in the homework page during the first week of school.
I'm very excited to get to know your children and I know this is going to be a terrific year!
