Eastview's Prom is schedule for Saturday May 21, 2022 at International Market Square (IMS) in Minneapolis. The is a week earlier than the traditional Saturday of Memorial Day for the past many years. We will continue to work closely with our District COVID-19 Team to monitor all safety precautions as we get closer to Prom.
How Do I Buy Prom Tickets?
In working with our Parents Are Key team (PAK), we feel compelled to share some important information about Prom to assist in helping you plan a safe and enjoyable evening for students. As always, the safety of students is our top priority at Eastview High School.
Based on our past experience at Eastview, as well as collaboration with other metro schools, we believe having a large number of students on a party buses is not a safe alternative for transportation unless the bus has proactive adult supervision while students are riding (no different than if a parent were hosting a post-prom gathering at their home and providing supervision). We recommend parents supervise pre and post prom activities and have conversations with their children regarding making safe decisions during the times before and after the prom at International Market Square.
As an alternative, we are providing students the opportunity to ride a luxury coach bus to and
from the Prom. This supervised round-trip opportunity includes a ride to International Market
Square and back to EVHS at the completion of the Prom at 11:30 pm. Our Parents Are Key group is willing to invest in our students’ safety by helping subsidize the cost of this opportunity, and are committed to keeping the cost at $10 per person round trip. In addition, if students would like to travel in a smaller group, we have developed a partnership with 1st Class Transportation limousine service to offer discounts for Eastview students. Mention you are from Eastview when contacting 1st Class Transportation (612-231-4446) or email@example.com
Eastview High School does not supervise or have oversight over 1st Class Transportation, nor does it supervise pre and post prom activities or transportation arrangements other than the coach bus option that we provide. We offer these suggestions to assist you in planning for a safe and supervised prom experience.
