Teacher/Staff Appreciation Parade May 5th
It's a Parade.... and May 5th is the day!!!!!!
As the map below indicates, teachers & staff will line the sidewalk of Albury and Los Arcos... (as indicated by the red dots).
The green lines indicate the parade entrance, route, and exit. Sticking to this route will ensure a nice traffic flow for everyone!
The blue shows the numerous entry points so we all are driving in the same direction. Make sure you use proper/polite merging etiquette!
We will allow folks to drive through from 10:30 to 11:30. This is PLENTY of time, so please be patient and drive slowly (a crawl, really). Don't forget your masks and to comply with social distancing!
You can bring signs to hold out the window, or just smile and wave... use your creativity!
A special thanks to PTA who will be providing to-go lunches for all teachers and staff who participate!

Updates on Retrieving/Returning Belongings
Many families are asking when they can retrieve their belongings from school and when they can return materials belonging to the school.
We are waiting for guidelines from our district leaders, who in conjunction with the health department (and other agencies/organizations), will provide a safe plan for all.
Once we have additional information, we will pass it along!
Best,
Principal Cohen

A Message from Sylvan Nation
(Please note that this is not affiliated with Prisk or LBUSD. It was forwarded to me from a very reputable source and I thought some families might want to check it out. The words "completely free" captured my attention!)
My name is Alexandra, and I am the Director of a local small business, Sylvan Learning Center in Long Beach, CA. We know these are very difficult times and the timeline for students to return to a regular school day is uncertain. We stand with you in supporting students in our community as we face this challenge together.
We would like to offer you and your families an online resource called Sylvan Nation. (https://www.sylvannation.com)
This resource has been specially created for parents, grandparents and guardians who want to help their kids succeed in school.
Sylvan Nation is a safe and trusted resource to get helpful academic ideas such as articles, tips, videos, and activities. It is open to everyone and completely FREE. No payments, credit cards or any other information is required. You simply need to be 18 years or older to register and you will find tips and tools for all stages of school: elementary, middle and high school.
Sylvan Nation also offers great rewards for participating such as:
· Gift cards at 200+ retailers
· Sweepstake prizes (like a FREE month of homework help)
· Activity booklets for younger kids
· Tools to navigate middle school
· Fun activity sheets for younger kids
· College planning tools for older kids
· Exclusive offers and deep discounts on Sylvan programs
Feel free to copy and paste the above information and email to teachers and/or families!
We wish you, your staff, students and families well and good health. We are here and happy to provide any additional resources that can help at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Alexandra Greenberg
