Chess Club Competition
Happy Sunday Families!
Last week some of our YMCA students traveled to Raleigh to see the production of the Ugly Duckling and we continued reading Fenway and Hattie, as a school. Students won trivia prizes by answering daily questions. We encourage you to send pictures of your child reading to their pet or favorite stuffed animal to post in our hallway. We're also collecting supplies for our pet drive to coincide with our book. Thanks to all of our students who completed their book diorama. We will choosing a winner this week.
Fourth and fifth graders competed in our school-level chess tournament on Friday and our 1st place winner was Simon Caro! Kaleb S. came in 2nd place and Jonah T came in 3rd place, way to go contestants! Simon will move on to the county competition.
