Strengths of the North and South, Tech. and Economy

North: They had more states and more people than the south, they controlled the Navy

South: They were well prepared, they had a well trained Army, and had a good Army

The Technology of the North was more advanced than the south and the economy was based on industrialization. They had large factories, manufactured goods, and also impacted industrialization and urbanization.

The Technology of the South was less advanced and more rural. Their economy was based on farming and producing crops. They had tons of fields, and very few factories.

Weaknesses of North And South, Number of States in both

North: their armies were equal in size, the south had a great amount of trained officers, and had 20 States in the union

South: they were outnumbered in population but had the same size army as the north, had 11 states in the South

The population of the North was 22 million, and
The South had a population of 9 million
