Principal's Message
Hello Wildcat families,
We have a lot going on the next couple of weeks as we wrap up the semester. I talked with some teachers this morning and asked, "Are your students still engaged or are they distracted by the upcoming break?". I was happy to hear that our kids are still working hard and focused on meeting their goals.
I am so proud of our students and their willingness to try new things. It can be scary to take academic risks, especially for students who pride themselves on "being smart". It is important for us to help children at all academic levels cultivate a growth mindset. A growth mindset places the emphasis on improvement and encourages us to recognize our potential. If you want to learn more, come out to our Principal's Coffee tomorrow morning where Sogol Zebarjadi, one of our school counselors will share tips for how you can help your child develop a growth mindset
All the best,
Stephanie Haga

Student Council Holiday Drive-Repeat
It’s the season for giving more abundantly.
Wilson Creek’s Student Council will be hosting multiple drives this year to reach more people and your help is needed.
Sock Drive- The number one item that charities and shelters ask for is socks for men, women and children. We are asking for families to donate brand new socks that will be donated to Giving Grace Charities. Brand new socks can be brought to school or purchased using the Amazon link below.
Warm Blanket Drive- Often, our elderly population is forgotten about during the holidays. Having a super comfy blanket to keep warm this winter will help remind our seniors that they are loved by the Wilson Creek Wildcats. We are asking for families to donate new blankets. Blankets can be purchased, handmade, knitted, or crocheted. Brand new blankets can be brought to school or purchased using the Amazon link below
Annual Toy Drive- Each year Wilson Creek teams up North Fulton Community Charities to collect toys for families in need. This charity is unique in that unwrapped toys are donated and arranged in a store format for qualified parents have the chance to pick out a gift for their child for the holidays. We are asking families from any grade to donate unwrapped toys for children of all ages. Items can be brought to school or purchased using the Amazon link below.
Gift Giving Contest:
This year we will have a grade level competition to see which grade level can donate the most items. Daily results will be posted by the cafeteria. The grade level winner will receive a hot chocolate party in January. The winner will be announced Friday, December 17th.
Who will win? Only time will tell!
