HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!
Tomorrow
EARLY RELEASE DAY JUNE 24TH @ 12:45 pm
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 21-22 SCHOOL YEAR
That's a wrap!
It’s hard to believe we are at the end of another school year. Kicking off the 2021-2022 school year last August feels like yesterday and an eternity ago all at the same time. We started the year thinking it would be back to “normal” and soon found out this was far from true. With frequently changing protocols, we know our staff and parent community felt frustrated, confused, and worried at times about circumstances out of our control. The great news is that our students had a wonderful year. They laughed, smiled, learned, and made good academic and social emotional growth. We are so grateful to the dedication of our amazing staff and the unconditional support of our community to create an environment at Julian Curtiss that is both supportive and positive ! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support and partnership during unique and challenging times.
The past couple weeks have been filled with celebrations, milestones and great memories. It fills our hearts with happiness and pride to see our students and teachers celebrating all of their hard work and accomplishments together with pride as the year comes to a close. Thank you parents for taking time from your busy schedules to be a part of important traditions, celebrations, and events. Students love being able to showcase their learning and talents and share with their families.
I hope you all have plans this summer to spend time together as families doing the things you enjoy most. Take some time to unplug, relax and spend time with the favorite people in your life. The staff is also looking forward to having time to unplug, relax and spend time with their own families this summer. Without a doubt, we are so very blessed to work in this community with an amazing staff and wonderful parent body who love and take great care of our students every day.
We wish Ms. Heather Currier, Ms. LaShawna Jones, Mr. James Librandi and Ms. Emily Peters all the best as they pursue new and worthy endeavors. Ms. Peters is leaving to pursue a PhD, Ms. Heather Currier will be teaching in another Greenwich elementary school, and Mr. Librandi will be a full time math interventionist at North Mianus School. Once an Eagle…. Always an Eagle and we know they will all continue to fly.
For our families that are leaving us, we will miss you! Thank you for being a part of our community and sharing your wonderful children with us. We wish you all the best in where your path takes you next.
Have a wonderful summer!
With love and appreciation,
Trish McGuire and Matt Hartigan
