Crestwood School District updates - week of April 20 - 24

Crestwood SD teachers begin enhanced virtual presence with our families on Monday, Apr 27

What will the enhancements look like?

Crestwood School District continues the evolution of our Continuity of Education Plan by expanding our effort with the inclusion of a live or asynchronous teacher presence online.

CSD continues to endeavor to improve participation, rigor, and value within the broad guidelines of Enrichment and Review.

On April 27, we move forward with live and asynchronous teacher presence within either recorded video, or face to face check in meetings via Zoom or Google Meet software platforms. Your individual teacher will be providing you with either the recorded message or the day/time and the associated link to join the live meeting.

CSD is poised to transition to Planned Instruction seamlessly and the addition of a live and/or asynchronous presence ensures readiness to that transition.

Review and enrichment activities as well as our video enhancements are now live in Google Classroom.

So ... what about next year? Will we move on to the next grade? How will we pick classes?

The Governor and Crestwood SD agree that this pandemic will not negatively impact a student's progress nor promotion to the next grade.

  • While Enrichment & Review work is not graded at this time - it is still very important for students to be engaged in their school work
  • We will be putting in place measures to monitor student participation so that we can support students and remove barriers to learning
  • AS OF APRIL 27 our teachers will be offering a live presence in a virtual format to engage with students - schedules and details to follow

To keep students safe, and in alignment with public health guidance and school closures across 192 countries, we will not be able to administer the SAT or SAT Subject Tests on June 6, 2020.

If it’s safe from a public health standpoint, we’ll provide weekend SAT administrations every month through the end of the calendar year, beginning in August. This includes a new administration in September and the previously scheduled tests on August 29, October 3, November 7, and December 5.
