May in Motion

May is for Mothers, MCDS Matinees, and Marvelous Educators!

May is off to a magnificent start. The weather is perfect for outdoor learning; physical activities and observing nature's response to spring. The weeks behind us were filled with celebrating knowledge through our annual SAT 10 participation, heralding spring in with planting and insect life cycle observations, and learning how we can support homeless animals.

Choral & Ukulele Recital

Music was in the Air!

Our MCDS Ukulele & Chorus came together to celebrate music and creativity with us. Entertaining and inspiring, our musicians showed us all how focused and determined our students are in building their musical talents. They sang and played with such intention. Thank you to Mrs. Monteleone, Mrs. Kay and the children for their success this school year. Our K-3rd grade students exercised their skills in using wind and stringed instruments, this will enhance their learning and support their interests in the performing arts.

We are looking forward to another year of music when we see students and families again during the 2015-16 school year.

SAVE Animal Rescue

SAVE Animal Rescue of Princeton send their ambassadors Annmarie (human) and Tess (dog) to our campus to share their mission with us on Wednesday, April 29th. This marked the first day of our two week drive to collect food, treats and bedding for sheltered animals. Annmarie and Tess showed the staff and students at MCDS how to handle an unfamiliar animal. She answered questions about the types of animals served by their program and what they eat.

We know how important giving back to our community. We know that caring for animals this spring, along with our fall drive to raise food for our neighbors in Plainsboro, is an important part of being a member of our local community. Please make sure your child has something to put in the donation box outside their classroom door. All donations are due by Friday, May 15th.

Merry Tributes to the Moms in Our Lives

Staff and students will recognize the women in their lives during a special event in their respective classrooms. Guests will be honored through the sharing of delicious treats and sentiments of love and appreciation. A wonderful way to say thank you to those who touch our students' lives every day. Join us for a gathering filled with laughter and love for the ladies.
