Dear K-6th Grade Parents,
Our Apex Obstacle Course event fundraiser and leadership program begins next week!
We love the amazing leadership and character-building portion of the Apex program as it focuses on developing student self-control and interpersonal skills that are vital for school and life success. With this year’s #ApexXFACTOR theme, students will embark on an incredible two-week quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders, learning to dream big, and making a positive impact on the world. These quick, engaging lessons tie in with our school's vision and mission, encourage students to create a positive environment, and inspire them to lead by example.
✅ : The Apex Obstacle Course event will be held on 10/20/22.
More info on how to make a pledge to support our school will go home next week!

Dear 7th and 8th Grade,
Our Apex Battle fundraiser is coming to our school from Oct. 11th-21st.
Dear Parents,
PLEASE DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR AT PICK UP AND DROP OFF. If your child cannot load or unload without you then we ask that you park at the church or West Wing Park and walk your child to the trail gate. If your child needs assistance buckling then pull into a parking spot after you've loaded them to provide assistance. Thank you!
Handicap Parking is reserved for parents of children with special needs or those that have a handicap plate. Fines for parents using handicap parking spaces are issued by the Peoria Police Department.
Thank you for your adherence to our procedures and for following the law.

Hello Families,
The motto this week in school is:
I am a productive team member.
Being able to collaborate and work well with others is a sought-after skill. While good teamwork requires several skills, such as listening, perseverance, and collaboration, there seems to be one skill that is valued above all others, contribution.
“Throw yourself into life as someone who makes a difference.” -Rosamund and Benjamin Zander
Help your child understand the value of contribution. An easy analogy is to share with them how a family is like a team, and when everyone does their part, it helps more than one person; it helps the whole team. It’s comforting for children to know the many ways everyone contributes to the family because it helps them understand that work isn’t just time my parents are away, but also how my parents contribute and care for our family.
The habit builder for this week is to ask your child how they can contribute. Can they feed and look after the dog, take out the trash, or help with the dishes?
“The effort itself yields its own reward.” -Gene Roddenberry
Contributing feels good; even though we may not want to do the dishes, we do want to be a part of a family where everyone does their part.
