A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

We've had another great week of learning at Parkside! We are almost into the month of February, which is hard to believe! We'd like to thank our wonderful PTA for providing teachers a Hot Drink Station this week. Thank you for all that you do for our staff! We truly are so very lucky.

We are working to get a team to work on our garden! Please contact Stacie Cary at stacie@staciecary.com if you are interested in helping with clean up, maintenance, and planting. We are hoping to have a group ready to maintain the garden over the summer so it is ready to go for a garden club next school year.

As we continue to work on our morning carpool procedures, we ask you to remember that safety is our top priority. Please use the 2nd-5th Parent Drop off near the portables for dropping off students who are in 2nd-5th grade. Kinder and first grade should use the K-1 Parent Drop off. Thank you for working with us to ensure our kids get to school safely!

This time of year it is very important to make sure we are all doing our part to prevent the spread of germs! This includes good hand washing, covering our coughs, and keeping students home if they are sick. If they are sent home from school for a fever of 100.0 F or above, or any other contagious symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) they will need to remain home for 24 hours symptom free without the use of medicine. Thank you for your help in keeping our Mustangs healthy!

As always, thank you for partnering with us and sharing your sweet children with us every day.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Eric, Maggie, and Marianne

Nachos and Numbers

We invite you all to Nachos and Numbers this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the Parkside Gym. The event will provide fun and interactive math-based games for our students, and the reward will be plenty of nachos! Any students who may struggle in a crowded setting can arrive at 3:30 p.m. to get a quiet head start on the stations.
