Cell Organelles

Cell Theory

1. All Living things are made of cells

2. Cells come from other living cells

3. Cells are the basic units of structure and carry out functions.

Eukaryotic Cells

Eukaryotic Cells are cells that are cells that have membrane bound organelles and these cells have a nucleus.

Prokaryotic cells are cells that do not have membrane bound organelles. Also these cells do not have a nucleus.

Animal Cell and Plant Cell

Animal cells are Eukaryotic because those cells have a nucleus they also do have membrane bound organelles. Plant cells look like building blocks the have a cell wall and they are also eukaryotic because they have a nucleus and they have membrane bound organelles.

The nucleus is found in Eukaryotic cells and if controls the cell and runs everything in the cell.

"Mighty Mitochondria" The mitochondria produces energy for the cell.

Cell Membrane

The cell membrane keeps all the organelles in the cell.

Cell Wall

The cell wall is like a protective shield for the cell so it does not get damaged.

A jelly like substance that holds that organelles in place so they will not float around.

The vacuole is the organelle that stores water a waste.

Chloroplast contains chlorophyll which photosynthesis occurs.

Ribosomes are round things in a cell that make proteins and they are in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Lysosome break down waste in a cell

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Ribosomes attach to it and it has proteins.

Golgi Apparstus

It is like a passage way that transports things through the cell.
