East Elementary Parent Newsletter
December 2016 Edition
As I thought about what I wanted to share with you this month, my wish was that I could some how describe to you how blessed we feel to be able to serve and support a staff that is so committed to meeting the needs of our students and our East families. We truly love being part of the East Elementary team and couldn't ask for a more dedicated team of professionals to work with. While we will never claim to be perfect, what I can always assure you of is that we show up ready to do our best for your children each and every day.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your families. We love your children and look forward to what 2017 has in store for East. Thank you for being a part of our team!

Building Leaders for Today - Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind
Begin With the End in Mind means to think about how you would like something to turn out before you get started. Reading a recipe before cooking or looking at a map before
leaving on a trip is beginning with the end in mind. For young children, a good example is that of a jigsaw puzzle. Before doing a puzzle, they look at the cover of the box. They start with the end in mind. How can you help your child learn the importance of starting with the end in mind? For more information about the 7 Habits and the focus we have for student leadership please click here.
