December 2, 2022
Otter Families,
The first snowfall of the year is quiet an amazing time in an elementary school. The children LOVED playing in the snow this week.
Now is a good time to remember that doctors recommend elementary aged students should be sleeping between 9-12 hours per night. A good nights rest helps children be successful in school. A predictable bedtime routine including time for families to read to children is important for that good nights sleep. If you're interested in high quality children's literature, contact Ms. Landis, our library is full of great literature. Additionally, your children likely have good books in their backpacks as we've checked out over 4,000 books from the library this year!
JRE is looking for volunteers to help in the following positions:
- morning greeters
- classroom helpers
- cafeteria and playground help
We are also looking for substitute office and instructional aid help. If you are interested, please let me know, I'm happy to help with the application process.
Finally, please check the lost and found for any missing items.
In partnership,
Brent Ostbye
Principal
