MDMA

THE TRUTH BEHIND THE DRUG

WHAT THE HECK DOES MDMA STAND FOR?

MDMA describes the chemical composition of the drug which is 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Unlike marijuana and tobacco, MDMA is a man-made composition chemically created.

Whose at risk to become dependent?

Although MDMA has no addictive substances, people commonly use the drug repeatedly to experience the benefits. One's environment and their genes always lead them to dependency upon a drug, usually the case with regular users of MDMA.

"Club Drug"

MDMA is most often found at all-night parties and concerts and used to give a lasting energetic feel for the consumer. This stimulant may be combined with other stimulants such as caffeine to heighten the effects.

Don't Believe the Hype!!!

Most people will say MDMA is "safer" than other drugs, because it has no addictive ingredient and it is man-made but the effects of using MDMA are seriously damaging to the brain!

From the chart it is simple to see the severity MDMA endues on the user's brain, in every part.

Medical Uses?

The sole manufacturing of MDMA is to distort the perception of the consumer, and because of its long term memory difficulties, there has been no medicinal uses worth risking the chance. The United States government classified the drug as a Schedule 1 drug, meaning there is no accepted medical uses (Multiple Studies Look at Medical Uses of Ecstasy).

KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

MDMA is virtually indistinguishable from common tablets as it come in a variety of different colors. But, MDMA pills usually have cartoon-like images on the outside. Beware of any strange colored pills, capsules, or tablets.

How does MDMA alter the consciousness?

MDMA attacks the neurons that communicate with other neurons by serotonin. Serotonin, one of the most influential neurotransmitters in the brain, plays a part in mood, anger, sexual arousal, sleep, and pain receptors. When one takes MDMA, their receptors that have serotonin are enhanced and overworked to cause major problems in the consumer's idea of consciousness.

SERIOUS LONG TERM EFFECTS OF MDMA

  • Increase risk of long terms memory and learning problems
  • Interfere with body's ability to regulate temperature
  • If hypothermia occurs from the drug, it can lead to liver, kidney, and cardiovascular failure
