Words of Wisdom
No legacy is so rich as honesty.
~ William Shakespeare
If we're not being honest with ourselves, we're not being real. We are being disingenuous, insincere, and someone we are not. That's a difficult place from which to live because we are never free to be the unique and unrepeatable human beings we are. Dishonesty has become all too commonplace in the lives of our students: cheating in school, lying on admissions forms, shoplifting, witnessing the dishonesty of adults and the social acceptance of that behavior. That is why it is so important that our legacy be one of integrity. We need to model to our students that honesty is fulfilling, that it empowers, and that it endures. Honesty is at the very core of any lasting success.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Did you know that being honest is also good for your body and mind! Studies have shown that honesty promotes improved health. Even more reason to be truthful!
Happy Birthday!
