World War One
Causes of World War 1
The main causes of World War 1 are the Alliances formed within the countries involved in the war. Some alliances that were involved are
- Russia and Serbia
- Germany and Austria-Hungary
- France and Russia
- Britain and France and Belgium
- Japan and Britain
Nationalism was also another major cause to the first World War. It shows deep loyalty to one's nation. Gavrilo Princip from Serbia was the person who started WWI by killing Archuduke from Austria-Hungary, because Austria-Hungary controlled Serbia at the time. This is an example of extreme nationalism because he was showing loyalty to his own country.
