Workshop Wednesday

As you know, we will be transitioning to a modified block schedule next year. This will help us align our schedules more with CHS and will also make it so that learners will miss less of classes if they have to shuttle between our two campuses. The problem a schedule like this poses to our campus is that it can make it difficult to have Networking without creating other logistical issues. To resolve this, we are continuing to pilot something that we are calling "Workshop Wednesdays". On Workshop Wednesdays, facilitators design their schedules with learning opportunities that may or may not occur at the learner's normal class times. Learners then design their schedule so that they can get to the workshops, lectures, foreign language speaking times, mini-teacher conferences, etc. This schedule also allows us to preserve our Networking team time, which has been one of the cornerstones of our NTH@C community. If you would like to see your learner's schedule for the 22nd, they were emailed a confirmation of their schedule when they submitted their form.

Sadie Hawkins Dance

The Sadie Hawkins dance is coming up! This is a dance planned each year by learners where girls are encouraged to ask the guy of their choice. The dance will be held in the New Tech cafeteria on March 25th and the theme for this year is Sadies in Wonderland. There will be music, snacks, a photo booth, etc. Students from CHS can attend with you, but there is a form in the office that must be filled out before hand. There are pictures below of the dance from last year (the theme was Old Hollywood). Tickets will be sold during lunches as we get closer to the dance. If you are a learner interested in being apart of the planning committee please contact Taylor Clark at tclark@newtech.coppellisd.com. Otherwise, put Sadies on your calendar, you don't want to miss it!
