The volunteer project
Start date: As soon as possible
End: 09.08.2024
The schedule of volunteer activities will be between 25 and 38 hours per week.
The participants will carry out their activities in the local community composed mainly of the children, parents, staff and volunteers of La Enredadera Vivencial School who participate in this activity.
The project aims to develop knowledge and skills for all participants. So that both professionals and parents are aware of the need for educational reform in the educational and family system.
The tasks that the participants will carry out are: At first the task of the volunteers will be to observe the day to day and to know the methodology and our way of working with the children, as well as to generate links with the children. They will be able to participate in meetings of the educational team, general meetings of the families and coexistence.
Once they have integrated our way of doing, the volunteers will be able to participate more actively (always with the presence of the teacher in charge of the group) in educational activities with the children:
- Propose activities, plan, organize and develop activities with the children always with the supervision and accompaniment of the teacher of reference and according to their interest.
- To be a support person in the daily routines and activities with the children.
- Participate in conferences and training meetings that take place in the center.
In addition, our volunteers will participate in the following activities:
- Promotion of European and mobility projects and programs among the young people of the Region of Murcia, as well as among the users of our organization.
- Participation in workshops and presentations of the European Solidarity Corps (CES) program in youth organizations, secondary schools in the city of Murcia and the University of Murcia.
Our volunteering project seeks to promote the values promoted by the EU and the ESC Programme, such as solidarity, equality, justice, respect, fight against exclusion and xenophobia, etc.
Accommodation and Maintenance
The volunteers who participate in our project will live in a flat located in the center of the city of Murcia together with other volunteers who carry out their volunteer project in other organizations in this city.
The flat will be rented by the Euroaccion Association, the coordinating organization of this project. Each volunteer will have his/her own room to guarantee privacy and space. The coordinating organization will pay the rent of the apartment and the bills on a monthly basis, to free the volunteers from these tasks.
This project is funded by the European Commission and covers, in addition to accommodation, the costs of food, pocket money and local transport. This money will be managed by the volunteer in a free and independent way.
