As I communicated last week, we were informed that the small lot across from the school will become off limits to us while construction is continued for roughly the next month. We also were just informed from Police Chief Bruni that there is NO PARKING along the tree line side of Bilmar Drive. This area has been posted as No Parking by the police and any vehicle that parks there can be ticketed. This is to ensure emergency vehicles can get through in the event of an emergency at the school or business located at the end of Bilmar Drive. We will send out a separate communication to further explain our dismissal process. Once you view this communication, please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Lifetouch will be at Propel MES on Friday, October 20, 2023, for school picture day. Scholars are permitted to wear the school uniform or they may wear dress-up clothing. (no jeans and clothing cannot have rips/tears/or inappropriate graphic images or wording) Scholars cannot wear any hooded shirts. Please reach out with any questions. Thank you!

Dear Propel Montour 5th grade families,

We know that you value the quality of the education and opportunities that Propel Schools provide and want to be sure that you apply to the lottery for the upcoming school year. As the parent/guardian of a scholar who will need to transition to a new middle school building next year, you MUST apply for the lottery to satisfy requirements from your sending school district. Apply for the lottery via SchoolMint, which is the same software you used to initially apply to Propel Schools. Be sure to select the 2024-2025 school year. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2023. You can access SchoolMint here. You can apply for Propel Montour Middle School or any other school throughout the Propel network. The lottery will be drawn in January 2024 and you will automatically be notified of the results via SchoolMint.

This year, each scholar will receive a PMES Legendary Habit Shirt! This shirt proudly displays the 5 Habits that we embody everyday at PMES and can be worn on Wednesdays (with uniform bottoms) and on any LEGENDARY Lunch day (first Friday of the month also with uniform bottoms). This was changed from our previous communication so it can be worn when staff wear their Habit shirts each week. All scholars and staff can wear their Habit Shirts every Wednesday and on LEGENDARY Lunch day!

We are currently experiencing staffing issues for the afterschool program and hope to begin soon. This is still dependent on acquiring enough staff to run the afterschool program but we will send home information as soon as we have definite dates from the Afterschool team. Thank you!
