This week Mrs. Rouis’ students learned about tool safety and how to properly use a hammer and screwdriver. They had a blast building vehicles, banks, book holders, and tool benches, and more!
FIRST
Ms. Terentev’s class explored the math games this week. Having unstructured play time with math games is harder than it sounds. All of the games that they played are also played by students of all ages. Learning how to work together during a game, figure out the math patterns, and how to persevere when things are not working are critical thinking skills that are much needed for all of our students.
Mrs. Yeaman’s class explored area and perimeter outside. Being able to take those skills and actually drawing shapes outside and accurately figuring out area and perimeter is not easy. They did a great job and worked together well on their math skills.
SECOND
THIRD
FOURTH
Ms. Michetti’s class has been practicing creative ways to review for the reading and math FSA next week! Students are creating math board games for their classmates to practice math fluency and they participated in a reading escape room!
FIFTH
In Mrs. Saucedo's class, students are investigating the content of owl pellets to illustrate the nature of food chains and learning how energy is transferred between organisms.
Students have also started presenting their STEAM/Science Fair projects.
SIXTH
SPECIALS
This week in PE we are playing hockey! Students are doing so well working with each other and being good sports! We are so excited for Field Day in two weeks!
