Girls Varsity Lacrosse had a win at home against Unami, 13-3.

3:15 PM Boys/Girls 7th Baseball/Softball Away Holicong Middle School
Congratulation to the 7th Grade Softball team for their 6-2 win over Tohickon in their first game of the season. Abby M pitched a fabulous game with curves, screwball and fastballs striking out 9 players and having three put-outs in the field. Mira W, Elizabeth R and Haley S all had great defensive plays. Amazing offensive hits were pulled off by Danielle R, Allanah C, Abby M and to top it all off Haley S had a double that drove in 2 run. Great Job ladies.
3:15 PM Boys/Girls Varsity Track Home vs Newtown Middle School at Unami
Congratulations to the Tamanend track team who traveled to Unami for their first meet against Newtown. Simply put, the Tigers rocked it! Shane L. took 1st place in his sprinting events, including his 4x100 team which also included Ryan G., Brian K. and Jon M. Other members of the 4x100 teams who took 1st place are: 8th graders Jake, Michael V., Nate, Colin, Jonah, Tommy W., Yvonne, Liz H., Ali, Paige, and Hannah, along with 7th graders Alan, Terrell, Brianna, Olivia D., Ashley and Jaylen.
Also, Sonya, Yvonne, Tommy W. and James placed in shot; James, Ben and Nate swept the 800, Brian, Jon, and James swept the high jump, Brian, Ryan G., Isabella and Audrey placed in the long, Liam took 1st in the mile; Michael and Jerry placed 1st and 2nd in the 400 while 7th grader Jaylen took 1st in the same event; and Ben and Ryan took 2nd and 3rd in the hurdles. Way to go, Tamanend!
3:30 PM Girls 8th Soccer Home Holland Middle School
Girls soccer won their first home game of the season yesterday in an exciting match against Holland. Scoring for the lady tigers were Janessa, Shannon, Grace, and Bridget with assists from Caroline, Lea, and Sam. Great work, girls!

3:15 PM Boys/Girls 8th Baseball/Softball Home Newtown Middle School
8th Grade Softball started their season with a huge win over Newtown with a final score of 11-5. The defense was lead with great pitching efforts by Ashley C, Grace M and Lexi R. A diving catch leading to a double play by Sam L got the Tigers fired up!
The Tamanend Varsity Baseball team won a back and forth game against Newtown by a score of 13-8. Carter H. went 2 for 3 on the day with 3 RBIs and a double and also pitched 2 solid innings in the win.
3:15 PM Girls 7th Soccer Home Tohickon Middle School
The 7th Grade Lady Tigers started their season off with a 1-1 Tie against Tohickon. Lia, Julia, Bella and Olivia played a strong defensive game making it hard for Tohickon to break through. With strength and speed McKenna, Kate, Lauren and Abi were not allowing them to keep poseession for very long. Putting a lot of pressure on their goalkeeper were Julia, Nina Kayla and Kaitlyn. Bella scored the lone goal for the Lady Tigers with a shot to the upper corner in the 2nd half. Emilee and Madison played great in Goal.
3:15 PM Boys/Girls Junior Varsity Track Away Tohickon Middle School*
Friday, April, 21
Congratulations to the Tamanend track teams who traveled to Tohickon last week. JV had some standouts on Thursday with Luke, Jay, Ryan T, Matthew, Kurtis and Sara.
On Friday, Varsity took to the track and came in 2nd just 12 points behind Tohickon, but beating a tough Richboro team. Reece took 1st place in the 100; other placers in the same event include Tommy, Nate, Ryan G., Izzy, Ellie, Maddie, Aidan, Jaylen and Olivia. Also, Sonya, Tommy W. and James placed in shot; Brian K took 2nd in the 200 and long jump as well as 1st in the high jump; James took 1st again in the 800, along with 7th grader Brianna placing 2nd , Liam took 1st in the mile, with Ali taking 3rd; Ben and Yvonne placed in hurdles; Audrey and Izzy placed 1st and 2nd in the long jump, and Audrey also took 1st in the high, with Yvonne right behind her; Jaylen placed 1st in the 400 while Caitlyn and Jerry placed 3rd.
MONDAY, APRIL 24
8th Grade Softball at Lenape
The 8th grade softball team won their second game of the season yesterday against Lenape with a final score of 17-4. It was a true team win with great offense by the entire squad paired with great pitching by Grace M, who had 6 strike outs and Lexi R who had 4.
8th Grade Baseball at Lenape
The Tamanend varsity baseball team beat district rival Lenape yesterday by a score of 4-2. Robbie P. pitched 4 solid innings surrendering only 1 run. At the plate Carter H. went 3 for 4 with an RBI and Jeff D. went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs while calling a great game behind the plate.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26
7th Grade Girls Soccer
Congratulations to the 7th Grade lady Tigers on their 3-0 win over Lenape. Julia, Abi, Izzy and Bella played a strong defensive game keeping Lenape from having an opportunity to get many shots on goal. Emilee and Madison did a great job in goal making some amazing saves. Kaitlyn, Julia, Alex and Disha worked hard and kept the pressure on Lenape throughout the game. McKenna, Kate, Nina and Lea kept a strong midfield and worked hard keeping the ball moving. Scoring for the Lady Tigers were McKenna with 1 and Julia H with 2. Great job Lady Tigers!!
THURSDAY, APRIL 27
The Tamanend varsity baseball team lost to Klinger by a score of 3-1. Clay N. and Michael C. pitched very well in the loss. Max S. went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and Michael C. added a double of his own. The Tigers will look to get back in the win column on Monday against district rival Holicong.
8th Grade Softball away at Klinger
The 8th grade girls softball team had a huge win over Klinger yesterday with a score of 4-0. Huge hits by Tori S. and Jasmine C. gave Tamanend their lead while great defensive plays were made by Jamie M. and Sam L.. Stand out pitching by Lexi R. and Ashley C. kept Klinger from scoring any runs. Congrats girls and good luck Monday when you take on Holicong.
8th Grade Girls Soccer home vs Unami
The 8th grade soccer team had an impressive 6-1 win over Unami yesterday. Scoring for the Lady Tiger were Caroline, Kylie, Janessa, Aly, Grace, and Leah M. The strong defense was led by Bridget, Makayla, Kelli, and Shannon. Nice work girls!
8th Grade Track vs Klinger
Congratulations to the Tamanend track team who traveled to Klinger and once again, the Tigers rocked it! The following 8th graders placed in their events: Ellie, Yvonne, Audrey, Caitlyn, Ally, Liz, Kate, Shane, James, Ben, Brian, Ryan, Michael, Reece, Jon, Liam, Nate, Tommy and Aritra. 7th grade place winners included Jaylen, Olivia, Maddie, Aidan, and Brianna.
Way to go, Tamanend! A reminder that Monday’s practice is for jumpers and throwers only. Also, Tuesday’s Varsity meet is a TRI MEET at East against Holicong and Lenape. TRI MEET rules will apply on Tuesday. JV…your meet is next Thursday.

CB SOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS
The CB South Boys Volleyball team would like to invite students currently in 8th or 9th grade to attend our home match on Wednesday, 5/3/17. Admission is free and a snack bar is available. The JV match begins at 5PM with the Varsity match to follow. At the conclusion of the match there will be an informal meet and greet with the coaches and varsity players for any student who may want to participate next season. Parents are encouraged to attend as well and we will provide some basic information regarding next season. If you are unable to attend but would still like more information, please contact Coach Ehlers at cbsboysvolleyball@cbsd.org.
