November Reflection Papers
The procedure for submitting your papers remains the same: Email them to cjdurkin11@marianuniversity.edu and share them with ubms.marian@gmail.com
These papers are a requirement of the program for students in 9th through 11th grade. If you are struggling to get your paper in for ANY reason, please communicate to program staff.
To help you with this month's paper, we ask that you you reflect on academic milestones and accomplishments you've had this past year. What are you most thankful for? Who are you most thankful for? What do you do to help others?
BIRTHDAYS!
Fun with Sandi Paws (and Santa Claus)
Dear UBMS'rs,
Sandi Paws Rescue has lots of exciting things coming up and could use help once again!
Saturday, December 5th, Sandi Paws Rescue will be in the Fond du Lac Christmas Parade. If anyone would like to walk with us, we will be lining up at Fives (formerly Giddings) starting at 3 and anytime before the start of the parade. I believe we are 6th in line so we will be able to get through pretty fast and won't have to freeze too long. We will hand out flyers, candy and temporary tattoos as well as walk dogs.Princess Miss Wisconsin will be joining us! Feel free to join us!
Sunday, December 6th we will have another intake starting at 8am. We will be doing a lot this day! Santa will be coming to town! There will be crafts for kids, pictures with Santa and dogs, little Santa gifts and more. We could use help with setting up right after the parade Saturday night as well as on Sunday. We need help with wrapping presents, helping kids with crafts, keeping the line neat and orderly for Santa not to mention the normal walking and caring for dogs. The fun events will be from 12-3. Princess Miss Wisconsin will be here as well!
Our next event is going to be at the Forest Mall! We have asked the mall if we can hold an adoption event in the mall. We figured it was worth a try since the Human Society holds events there. They were excited to have us and are even opening a vacant store for us to use! This will be held on December 19th from 11-3 in a vacant store on the Kohl's end of the mall. We will need help walking dogs since the exit will be a little ways away.
Thank you in advance for your help. UBMS has been a Godsend to Sandi Paws Rescue!
