Leap Into Literacy
March/April: Grade 4
READING BOOK CLUBS
Books clubs are created for students within the Reading Workshop Units of Study. As you begin to think about and implement them in your classrooms, consider watching a book club lesson with your students. Follow-up with a discussion together afterwards to ensure students understand their roles, as well as the daily routines and procedures. Encourage students to discuss what book clubs look like, what they notice about them, and how they are expected to sound when all members of the group participate.
