- Parade - Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 pm at High School. Route and more info here.
- Coronation - Thursday, Oct. 5 after parade at Lancer Stadium
- Football - Friday, Oct. 6, Fresh: 5 pm, Varsity: 7:15 pm at Lancer Stadium
- Theme: Guard the Yard (BLACK OUT!)
- Dance - Saturday, Oct. 7, High School PIT from 8-11 pm
- Tickets: TBA - but if you have unserved detentions or owe $ and want to go to Hoco, take care of those NOW! =)

Free & Reduced Meal Applications
If you were eligible for free & reduced meals last school year (2022-2023), please do not pay any textbook & rental fees at this time. To apply for free & reduced meals for the 2023-2024 school year, please complete this paper packet or electronically through the Infinite Campus parent portal. Once logged in, click "More" and then "Meal Benefits" to begin the application process online.
Class of 2024 Graduation Items - Herff Jones
Graduation packets were distributed to seniors on the first day of school, last week. Cap & Gown and Senior Swag orders may be placed online (www.highschool.herffjones.com) or via the paper order form students received.
Herff Jones representatives will be at NSHS on Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 11:30 am - 1:20 pm to accept in-person orders and answer questions.
It's Science Fair time!
All high school students and their caregivers interested in participating in Science Fairs this school year, please join us for a short orientation at 5 pm on Sept. 21 in the high school media center.
If you cannot attend orientation but want to be involved, please stop in C10 to talk to Ms. Sambdman (jennifer.sambdman@northscott.org) or C11 to talk to Mr. Hunter (jacob.hunter@northscott.org).

Athlete Registration in Bound
If you plan to play sports this school year and you do NOT have a Bound account, you must create one. Instructions are linked below. If you already have an account, log-in and get registered for fall sports. All required documents will be collected through Bound this year.

It's ACT time!
The ACT registration deadline is approaching! If you plan on taking the ACT on Saturday, October 28, please register by Friday, September 22. Register at www.actstudent.org.
Fall On Track College Planning Week
ICAN and Iowa College Aid are kicking off the new academic year with Fall On Track College Planning Week - a week of virtual events to help families plan. Each evening will highlight specific steps for one grade level, beginning with Seniors on Monday night.
ICAN is bringing together colleges and universities, as well as school counselors and current college students to have panel discussions organized by grade-level. Students and parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Registration and more information may be found here: https://www.icansucceed.org/ontrack.
Iowa Quad Cities College Program (IQCCP) Fair
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives and learn more about admissions requirements, financial aid, course offerings, and campus life.

Pre-SAT - Wednesday, October 18
Preliminary SAT for Sophomores & Juniors
Sophomores and Juniors - The PSAT/NMSQT will be offered at the high school on Wednesday, Oct. 18 during blocks 1-2. This is an optional, comprehensive, practice test that measures college readiness in verbal & mathematical reasoning abilities and writing skills. It is also the National Merit Scholarship qualifying test for juniors.
Interested students should complete this google form using their North Scott student account. The cost is $18 to take the test. The fee will be added to your Infinite Campus account. There are no refunds for unused tests. Be sure to sign up by Sunday, Sept. 10 to ensure a spot.
