Smith Elementary will be holding its annual Veterans Day celebration on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 8:00 am in the school café. This special event will take the place of Celebrate Smith. All of you are invited to attend and encouraged to bring along any veterans you know so we can honor their service and sacrifice! Our 3rd Graders will be performing several songs, we will have a keynote speaker, and special student readers will be sharing their letters of thanks to all who have served. It is always a very meaningful assembly! Read below to find out how you can be a part of decorating our hallways for this occasion.
It is a tradition here at Smith to display photos of the U.S. Veterans in our Smith family in recognition of their service. If you have a photo of a special U.S. Veteran in your life and would like it displayed, please send in a copy of the photo to the front office no later than October 28. Please include the U.S. Veteran’s name, his/her relationship to a Smith student (i.e. Tom Jones, grandfather of Susie Jones), military branch, and years of service. It is best to send in a copy no larger than 4x6, as we cannot guarantee the safe return of original photos. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Schmidt at email@example.com
PTA Reflections Program Reminder: There are 2 Fridays left to submit your Reflections Entries.
