2020 A New Start
Hello Little Elm FamiLE!
I am very excited to join Little Elm High School as your new principal. Being a high school principal is the best job in the world and I feel very blessed to be a Lobo Leader. Although our holiday break has just begun, I am eager for the start of the new semester and the opportunity to meet the students and staff of LEHS. One of the things I enjoy most about working in a high school is the school spirit and pride that is shared by everyone. I look forward to being a part of this community and supporting and celebrating your accomplishments with you. For now, I hope you have a wonderful and restful break. I plan to enjoy mine with my family, including my granddaughters Lily and Ella (pictured below with me). See you in 2020 Little Elm Lobos!
Dr. Libby Priddy, Principal
Little Elm High School
Thanks for Five and Half Years of Special Memories
To My LEHS Lobo FamiLE:
Since this is my last LEHS newsletter to publish. I want to thank the students, parents, and staff for five and half years of joy and special memories. It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your principal and now it is time for me to accept a new role in the mission of LEISD of Engaging, Equiping, and Empowering all LEISD students to reach their full potential. I look forward to supporting the work of Dr. Priddy and all the other principals of LEISD as Director of Human Resources by helping to recruit and retain the best of the best to serve all students of LEISD. Monday, January, 6 is the beginning of a new era for LEHS and I want to welcome Dr. Priddy to the destination district, Little Elm ISD.

December Students of the Month Honored at School Board Meeting
Mr. Kevin Hamlin, English IV Teacher - "You can always count on Pablo to bring life and humor into the class. His amazing responses to discussions are thought-provoking and always intuitive. He is great to have in class."
Ms. Adrienne Jones, Sociology/Psychology Teacher - "There is not enough time in the day to talk about Pablo and his involvement and impact within the walls of LEHS and the community. Pablo is the embodiment of school spirit and Lobo Pride, whether he is dressed up for the spirit days, volunteering at every opportunity that arises, performing amazingly in the musicals, participating in the LOBO Pack at games and the LE Prime Step Team, or he is sharing his unique perspective on society in our discussions about society in Sociology. Daily I see Pablo uplifting others with his positive attitude and encouraging us all to love ourselves and others. I am proud to have Pablo represent the LEHS student body this month with his boundless creativity, stunning personality and unmatched Lobo Pride!"
Celastine Wigington, Junior - Cela is a talented vocalist who performs with the LEHS Heart and Soul performance group as well as an independent performer in the community at festivals, community gatherings, and special events. Make sure to watch the upcoming season of American Idol - you might just see Cela on the show. Cela also fills her time with working LEHS sporting events as one of our Lobo Athletic Trainers and when she is not singing, or working games, she is studying. Cela is taking three Advanced Placement classes and is setting her sights on a post-secondary career in Special Education or Speech Pathology. Cela is also a talented leader who makes a positive impact in the classroom. Here are some quotes by some of her teachers:
Mrs. Jessi Vericker, AP US History Teacher - "I have had the honor of having Cela twice! Cela is a very sweet and kind young lady. She is always helpful and makes the right choices. Cela is a good friend to her classmates and a joy to have in class. I love her commitment to her school work and her desire to always get and stay ahead of all of her assignments. Just last Friday she asked for January's assignments so that she may get and stay ahead. She is talented not only in her studies but musically as well. She is well-rounded, talented, and a smart while still being very humble. I am proud of Cela and all of her accomplishments."
Coach Laws Kidwell, Athletic Trainer Coach - "Cela has been a member of the LE Sports Medicine Program for 3 years. She has been working with Football, Baseball & Men's Soccer throughout the last 3 years. Cela has also been a vital member in the Athletic Training classes the past two years. She takes the lead on setting up our calendars weekly without being asked, as well as, working with the athletes and assessing their needs daily. Cela helps with the athletes' rehab exercises, sets up their treatments -whether its heat, cold compression, or muscle stimulation, she does it all! Cela is also a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Council representing the Athletic Trainers in the council. We are excited to have Cela as an integral member of our program and will miss her dearly when she graduates next year! Congratulations on receiving the December Student of the Month, Cela!!"
Mr. Bradley Howard, AP English III Teacher - "Cela is the kind of student every teacher wants in their classroom. Her wit, enthusiasm, and energy brighten everyone’s mood, and her positive attitude serves as a model for other students. She is a whirlwind of activity and initiative, leading and organizing other students both inside and outside of the classroom. On top of all this, she excels academically and never complains about the workload. My sixth period wouldn’t be the same without her."
Congratulations to these two Leaders of the Pack!

High school students often do not want to participate in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. The Federal Free/Reduced Lunch Program is the standard used by many programs to qualify students for financial assistance. Even if a student never uses their eligibility in the lunchroom, they can benefit greatly in other areas if they qualify for the Lunch Program. Eligibility has to be reestablished each year. You can fill out the application here. We highly suggest that all families fill out an application to see if you qualify.

Report Harmful, Harassing, and Bullying Behavior
LEISD has an on-line tool called "Anonymous Alerts" that students, parents, and teachers can use to report harmful, harassing, and bullying type behaviors. Anonymous Alerts bullying reporting mobile app helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressures are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome. Anonymous Alerts encourages students, parents and staff to quickly, easily, and anonymously report bullying, cyber-bullying, gang-related issues, and other sensitive topics through private messages to school officials by building. All reports remain completely anonymous even during a two-way email conversation, although submitters have the option to reveal their identity if they prefer to have a person-to-person discussion.
To send a report from the Web/Internet go to: www.anonymousalerts.com/littleelmisd/
To send a report from your phone:
- Download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, and the Chrome store
- Start the App, enter login: leisd and password: leisd
- Send important reports to school officials
- Add a screen shot or photo about the incident
