August Update
Welcome Back!
We are hopeful that this school year will look more on the normal side compared to last year. Things are always changing and we appreciate your patience with us as we are adapting. We are hopeful we will be able to have class parties again this year and field trips in the spring! Be on the lookout for more information to come!
Covid protocols have not changed much, at this moment in time, from last year. Please monitor symptoms, self screen before school, and the steps in the information provided. Masks are optional for students and staff. There is no "one size fits all" for anything in life, especially with Covid. If your child is more comfortable wearing a mask we will support that, or vice versa.
Thank you again for your continued help and support!
Beginning Band for 6th Grade Students
Conrad's Music can come in on the following dates:
8/4 - Screening from 1:55-2:30 (quick multiple choice assessment to find strengths)
8/12 - Open house from 4-7 (try/discuss instruments and make decisions)
With those two dates given, typical protocol will be to start class on 8.19 to get the rental
instruments prepared and delivered.

Car Rider Procedures
Hello Lanesville Families!
We made it through the first three days of school! Our car rider line has gotten better by the day! We wanted to send out a few helpful reminders.
Please note that elementary students may not be dropped off before 7:30am. Our doors are locked until 7:30am every day.
Also, the car rider line begins to back up around 7:45 and typically there is light traffic between 7:30-7:45.
We have more car riders this year, please plan accordingly so that your student is not counted tardy if they are not in the building by 7:55am.
(we know this does not apply to all students, however this is sent out school wide so everyone has the same information)
*Please remember that students can ONLY be dropped off on the inside lane in the morning (not in the outside lane or parking lot). This is for the safety of all of our students in elementary and jr/sr high.
Morning (click here for the AM car rider line video)
- Please pull all the way forward to the next available spot (think of this as a drive thru line).
- Your child should be ready to get out of the car as soon as you stop (backpacks on, lunches and projects in hand, etc.).
- Say your goodbyes before your turn to unload – this will help keep cars moving in line.
- When dropping off your child, please have them exit your vehicle from the rear passenger's side door.
- Parents are to remain inside their cars – do not leave car unattended.
During morning arrival, please do not stop in the car rider line to let foot traffic cross in the parking lot. Once all cars are stopped to unload children, then foot traffic may cross the car rider line to the sidewalk.
Afternoon (click here for the PM car rider line video)
- Please pull all the way forward to the next available spot (think of this as a drive thru line).
- There will be two lines for afternoon drop off. Please allow cars to merge when exiting the car rider line.
- Like last year, parents my pull into a parking space to wait for their jr/sr high student
- Parents are to remain inside their cars – do not leave car unattended.
We greatly appreciate your help and cooperation in the car rider line! This helps keep the flow of traffic moving and cars off of the main road. When we all work together we can get everyone where they need to be faster. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!
