Winter Sports
The CHS Girls' Basketball team completed the most successful season in school history, finishing 22-3 and winning the Sectional Championship! The team set the school record for most wins in a season. Abby Parsons became the all-time career scoring leader and Sydney Warran became the school career assist leader for CHS. Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic season!
The CHS Wrestling team finished an outstanding season that culminated in two senior wrestlers competing in the IHSAA State Finals. Logan Bickel - 120 pounds and Michael Hutchison - 160 pounds advanced through the sectional, regional, and semi-state meets to reach the state finals at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This marked the first time in school history that two wrestlers advanced to the state finals in the same season. The team won the Indiana Crossroads Conference Championship!
The CHS Girls' and Boys' Swimming and Diving teams completed excellent seasons with the girls finishing 3rd and the boys finishing 4th in a very challenging sectional meet. Several school records were broken this year and many swimmers set their personal best times. Both teams won the Indiana Crossroads Conference Championship!
The CHS Cheerleading team finished as the runner-up last Saturday in the Indiana Crossroads Conference competition at Monrovia High School. Thank you ladies for your school spirit and enthusiastic cheering at all of our winter events!

School Day SAT
All Juniors will be taking the School Day SAT on Wednesday, March 1st at Cascade High School. Students will begin testing at 7:55 a.m. Attendance for the Juniors on March 1st is extremely important. The Indiana Department of Education requires all Juniors to take the School Day SAT and the results are included in our school accountability report. Students are able to use this SAT score for post-secondary admissions and scholarships. Juniors should report to school on March 1st with a fully charged chromebook, a good night's sleep, and a good breakfast. We will provide Chick-fil-A for lunch for all Juniors on March 1st.
Mock Trial
On Satuday, Feb. 25, the CHS mock trial team took to downtown Indianapolis to defend their 2022 regional championship.
28 teams took over the new Justice Campus to present their cases in a fictitious criminal trial.
The two Cascade teams, "Ohthedrama" and "Six Feet Understudy" were extremely successful, both placing in the top 8 teams of the regional, and both advancing to the state finals.
Individual awards were collected by freshmen Emma Healey and Marigrace Girton and seniors Laura Cameron and Mariah Richardson.
The teams now head to the state competition on March 11 and 12.
