Field Day- Save the Date
Field Day is quickly approaching and we can't do pull it off without your help! We will need volunteers from approximately 8 am until 11 am. Due to the number of students we have and needs from our volunteers, we can't accommodate younger siblings. We will send a sign-up in a few weeks, so be on the look out! We can't wait!

Celebrating the Earth the Month of May
Earth Month is coming courtesy of the Ecology and Garden Club
Millburn Elementary members will be celebrating the Earth during the month of
May. Each day will bring awareness of our surroundings and how we interact with
it. Ecology Club Members will help to bring you resources. We can have fun and
focus on a theme during this warmer time of year. Perhaps we may learn a thing or
two. Each Friday we will let you know the following week's activities.
May 13- Scavenger Quiz Poster Day
Students encounter 10 posters hung throughout halls. These posters give students and staff
the opportunity to read and give answers by placing Velcro labels in correct spots (actual
answers are under flap). See how many you get right.
May 14- Trash Free Lunch Challenge
Students bring as many objects in their lunch boxes that can be reused after taking home to
wash. Or how many items disappear.
May 15- Get & Color a bookmark day
Students receive a bookmark with black line design of the 3Rs. Available to copy for each
class
May 16- Water Saving Day
Students practice being conscious of how they use water in a day
Classrooms can have posters provided which show illustrations of water use and they can
list the ways they notice water is used on campus during school.
May 17- Wear Water Earth Day colors
Students choose clothing which reflect the various colors of water on earth (teal, blue,
turquoise, green, sage etc.)
