KISD COVID-19 Dashboard

Krum ISD will provide real-time information about active COVID-19 cases in our District. The numbers on the dashboard will fluctuate as active cases are confirmed, or as active cases are determined to be inactive based on the information we receive from health professionals.

The dashboard will be updated once weekly on Tuesdays, or in the instance of a new case.

Switching Instructional Methods FAQ

I want to switch my child from in-person learning to remote learning OR I want to switch my child from remote learning to in-person learning. What do I need to do?

Parents should CLICK HERE to complete the Change in Instructional Method request form.

The form is routed to the KISD administrative offices. It is then shared with the building principal. Once Dodd Elementary receives the change request, students moving to remote learning will begin immediately. Students returning to in-person learning will usually start the following Monday. A Dodd representative will contact you to confirm your child's start date.

My child is moving to remote learning, and they need a Chromebook. How do I go about getting that technology?

Parents will indicate (in the Change in Instructional Method request form) that their child will need a Chromebook. A Dodd representative will contact you to set up a time for you to pick up your child's technology.

My child is moving to remote learning; however, I do not have internet access at home. How can we do remote learning?

KISD has a limited number of remote hot spots that can be checked out for home use. CLICK HERE to access the request form.

My child has been exposed to a known COVID-19 case, and they will be quarantined at home for up to 14 days. What is my next step in communicating with the school?

Call the Dodd office at 940-482-2603 or email the registrar at to let us know that your child will be learning from home while they are in quarantine. You may also request a Chromebook (if needed) at that time.

I'm a Remote Learner. Now What?

Once your child becomes a remote learner, you will receive an email welcoming them into the remote classroom. The email will include a remote schedule to follow and the links to the Zoom meetings they should attend. One of those links will be for the morning announcements. This is a time for them to connect to our campus and is where their attendance is taken.

This information will also be located in your child's Google Classroom. They will utilize Google Classroom to receive and turn in all assignments. It is also a place they will receive messages from their teachers.

NOTE: Remote students MUST join the special area Google Classrooms (Music, PE) to receive and complete their assignments for the week. Music and PE are graded subjects.

Remote teachers keep office hours (via Zoom) to answer questions and support our remote learners.

If you have any questions about remote content/assignments, please email your child's teacher for assistance.

COVID-19 School Decision Tree
