Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Statistic #1:
Studies show that for infants who received any breast milk for any duration of time, the likelihood of SIDS was 60% lower.
Statistic #2:
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome rates declined considerably from 130.3 deaths per 100,000 live births 1990 to 39.7 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2013.
Rules to Prevent SIDS
Rule #1:
ALWAYS place your baby on his or her back when they are sleeping, not on the their tummies.
Rule #2:
Keep soft objects out of the babies crib or anywhere where they sleep.
Rule #3:
Use a clean, dry pacifier when placing the infant to sleep.
