Elizabeth Dowden----Without your co teaching and support I'm not sure where I would be! This year has been such a learning experience with such a range of learners and you have helped me to just appreciate it and GO with it!- Jana Witherspoon
Amanda Qualls and Tracy Brown are AMAZING! In the past month I have asked for Amanda's help with multiple projects and she willingly jumped in to make them fabulous. And Tracy has a special way of with the kids that make them love her and looking forward to coming to the library. She truly makes connections with our kids coming through the library. Between the two...our library ROCKS!- Michelle Duesman
Keep those shout outs coming!
Another great way to tell our story is to tweet pictures or post on our Facebook page. Let's show our community who we are by posting pictures of students learning or demonstrating one of our core values; respect, advocating for others, creative thinking, problem solving, and growth in learning.
Get your name in our Sonic Teacher of the Week drawing by shouting out our students success via social media. Get your colleagues names in the drawing by taking the time to click on the blue link above and shouting it out their strengths.

A big shout out to Diana Boor! Diana moved from teaching fifth grade math to K-5 math. As she has been planning with grade levels during PLCs and after school, she has leveraged her strengths of being deliberative and restorative to help uncover gaps in understanding.
People strong in the Deliberative theme are best described by the serious care they take in making decisions or choices. They anticipate the obstacles. People strong in the Restorative theme are adept at dealing with problems. They are good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.
Thank you Diana for making careful decisions in partnership with the classroom teachers. You guys have listened to the kids and provided strategies to help them make math more concrete by learning ways to visualize the problem, You've taught them how to be thinkers as they try to comprehend what they need to do to solve a problem. You've leveraged your restorative strength by thinking out loud and teaching the kids how to figure out what's wrong so that they can resolve it. Thanks for serving our teachers and students well. You make learning math fun!

A big shout out to Elizabeth Dowden- aka- Rays of Sunshine! Elizabeth not only serves our K-5 students in the area of ELA, but she also co-chairs our sunshine committee. She leverages her strengths in communication and harmony not only as she plans engaging lessons with techniques of differentiation for all students to engage in becoming passionate readers and writers, but also as she spreads rays of sunshine across our school! People strong in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters. People strong in the Harmony theme look for consensus. They don't enjoy conflict; rather, they seek areas of agreement. Thank you Elizabeth for always having ideas of how to support our readers and in growing in their ability to comprehend what they're reading as you're connecting them to good fit books. You celebrate every step of progress which makes them excited about working hard to grow even more. Your harmonious spirit is so appreciated by your colleagues as you present ideas and together you guys come up with taking our readers from good to great! Thanks for giving us an opportunity to love our people well through random acts of kindness. Each time we get one of your 'spreading rays of sunshine' emails, you're also filling our tanks with positive energy. We appreciate you!
