Name
*Neptune is named after the Roman Mythology god named Neptune.
* The root “neph” means water, moist, wet, etc.
Size
Atmosphere and Color
*Neptune’s color is a tinted blue due to an unidentified compound and input of red light from methane.
Weather
*Winds can reach up to 1500 mph.(the fastest known winds in our solar system.)
*The great dark spot and the small dark spot are cyclones in Neptune. They happen because of the temp. difference of the heated core and the cold clouds.Rings.
* Neptune has 5 rings named: Galle, Le Verrier, Lassell, Arago, and Adams.
