Redefine School. Defy Expectations.
Welcome Back
Well, the start of 2024 is in full swing!!!! We are halfway through the school year. We trust your time away has been enjoyable, renewing, adventurous and mixed with fun and relaxation. Below are some exciting announcements and reminders for the remainder of the school year that we are eager to share with you.
Mr. Stromock and Ms. Edmond are very pleased with how the school year is going. The scholars are showing how much they are learning through assessments and habits. We are really proud of the effort we see from the scholars at Propel Pitcairn.
Staffing Updates
Since the beginning of the year, we have added more new staff. Ms. Nelson and Ms. Stephens are both new additions to the 5/6 team. Ms. Nelson is the 5/6 para and Ms. Stephens is the SPED educator on the 5/6 team. Ms. Dent is our new para in 2nd grade and Ms. Kimbro's room. If you see any of them, give them a little wave!!!!
Important Safety Updates
Metal Detectors
Each building will continue to increase safety precautions this year by adding metal detectors. Everyone will go through the metal detectors as they drop their personal technology into the phone bins. **Air Pods/earbuds should not come into the school. Phone bins will be housed in the office this year, providing more security. Scholars must turn in their phones as stated in the handbook. If your scholar is caught with a cell phone, they risk it being taken away for the remainder of the year.
Visitors
All external visitors to the office must have an appointment before entering the building and will be asked to show ID upon arrival.
Propel Reminders
Please follow the Propel Schools dress code
Important Dismissal Information
We are making some changes to parking for dismissal. Please DO NOT park in the small lot next to the fence that leads to the ally. Additional parking is needed for buses. You may park on the street, please be advised parking is limited. It is best to arrive for dismissal early.
Note: Propel can not change bus routes, pick-up times or drop-off times.
