Pre-AP Parent Information Evening
Pre-AP stands for Pre-Advanced Placement. Pre-AP offers challenging and motivating coursework that prepares students for AP (Advanced Placement), Dual Credit and University of Texas OnRamps courses at the high school level. Students enrolled in Pre-AP are expected to perform at rigorous academic levels. Pre-AP courses offered in junior high include Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. All students are eligible to enroll in Pre-AP coursework.
How do you know if Pre-AP is best for your student? Consider interest, past performance in their subject area, future goals, and other commitments. These factors help to determine appropriate course load. Students can take as many of as few Pre-AP courses as desired.
All parents and students are encouraged to attend this district level Pre-AP Parent Meeting on Tuesday, February 13, beginning at 5:30 pm, in the Berkner High School Auditorium located at 1600 East Spring Valley Road. The meeting includes content-specific concurrent sessions. Attend sessions in any sequence or time slot that best meets your needs. This is a come and go event and Spanish interpreters will be available.
