For student safety, our procedures are changing:
******Please Read******
Below you will find our updated procedures for car riders’ morning drop off and afternoon pick up. For the safety of the children and the adults assisting them to and from their vehicles, we ask that you please follow these new procedures as closely as possible. Starting 8/19, parents will no longer be able to walk students to class. The drop off point, if arriving by foot, is the gate outside of the front office. If you will be walking your student to the gate, we ask that you park in the parking lot. The grassy area on 7th Street is a No-Parking zone.
Morning:
Please follow the carline until the line splits into two lanes. There are now three cones near the sidewalk and three cones that run alongside of them, thus creating two lanes for safe drop off. An adult or safety patrol student will be stationed at the cones to open the car doors.
Please do not unload your students prior to arriving at a cone.
Please be aware that periodically there will people using the breezeway crosswalk. Our SRD will be there directing traffic and letting traffic know when to stop so that people can cross the breezeway safely.
Afternoon:
Please follow the carline until the line splits into two lanes. There are now three cones near the sidewalk and three cones that run alongside of them, thus creating two lanes for safe pick up. An adult or safety patrol student will be stationed at the cones to open the car doors.
An adult will be stationed in the carline where they can call student names and have them lined up prior to the cars arriving at the cones. When you give your student’s name upon entry to the lanes, you will be given a colored piece of paper. That colored paper will indicate which color cone you should drive to. Your student will be waiting for you at that cone.
Please do not load your students prior to arriving at a cone.
Please be aware that periodically there will people using the breezeway crosswalk. Our SRD will be there directing traffic and letting traffic know when to stop so that people can cross the breezeway safely.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Streelman and Mrs. McCluskey
