New Field ES Weekly Updates

Week 3: September 6-9, 2022

Open House is THURSDAY, September 8!

Dear families,

Please join us as we open our school doors and invite you into our classroom spaces. New Field Open House is this Thursday from 4:00 - 5:00 PM. All classroom teachers will share important information about curriculum, instruction, field trips, school policies and so much more.

New Field will also host our first PAC meeting of the school year, directly after our Open House. We will have raffle prizes for families that attend, share important information about our PAC and learn about how to support children with self-regulation as aligned to their development as thinkers and learners.

What is a PAC?

PAC (Parent Advisory Council): This council provides parents, teachers, staff, and concerned community individuals with the opportunity to work with their principal in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of the Title I Program. PAC meetings are once a month and often include workshops on parenting and supporting your child’s education. They are a great opportunity to meet other parents at the school, and refreshments are served. Interested parents can serve as officers of the PAC to plan and implement its programming.

Kindergarten & First Grade Arrival:

Kindergarten and First Grade Families:

Kindergarten and First Grade families must drop children at the entrance to the turf fields and K&1 families may no longer access to the turf fields during arrival. This allows our staff to have better supervision and ensure a more safe environment at arrival. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Families will continue to be allowed entry at dismissal.
