Hybrid Student Video & Procedures
The video below was shared with hybrid students during Advisory last week. Our staff is excited for the return of students!
Please review this document for information regarding hybrid students' return to in-person learning before your student comes back to the building. It includes information that has been shared in a variety of places, so this should be a one stop shop for hybrid learning information.
Resharing from last week: If you are driving your child to and from school, please be patient, especially as we first start this new arrival/dismissal experience. Parents should NOT use the bus lane, or block the bus lane. In order to prevent a backup on Wolf Road, the left hand lane in the front parking lot must keep moving (exiting the parking lot, turning left, and returning to the entrance if necessary). We will have staff outside to help direct you. Some parents plan ahead with their children to meet them in the church parking lot next door (Northwest Assembly of God), or on the neighboring streets in order to avoid the parking lot traffic.
We are also reminding students what they should be putting together this week so that they are ready to return to the building. These items should be with them daily when they are in the building:
Lanyard with completed Health Certification Form
Mask(s)
Backpack
Chromebook and Charger
Whiteboard and Expo Marker
School Supplies
Bus Pass (if using the bus, bus pass and info was sent home with the supply pick up in November)
Lanyards
We have a limited number of extras, so please contact the office if you know that you need a replacement.
Bus Information
If your child will be riding the bus they should be at their bus stop AT LEAST 5 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time.
Bus route/stop information and bus passes were sent home in November in your child's supply pick up bag.
You can find a list of routes and stop times for all three buildings on the Transportation page of the district website.
Reminder: Daily Health Certification
As a reminder, parents/guardians will be asked to certify the health of their students on a daily basis before their student will be able to enter the building. Every student received a blue lanyard and a pad of Daily Health Certification slips. Each morning, parents/guardians should check to make sure the student does not have any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.4° F or greater
Cough
Shortness of breath
Sore throat
Head or muscle aches or Abdominal pain
New loss of taste or smell
Chills
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Unexplained fatigue
New congestion/runny nose
If a student does not have any of the above listed symptoms, they are healthy to enter the building. Parents/guardians need to sign off on the daily health certification sheet, place it in the student’s lanyard, and place the lanyard on the student so that it is visible when the student arrives at school.
If the student is displaying any of these symptoms, they will need to stay home for at least 10 days from the onset of symptoms. If they are well enough to learn they will be able to join their classes in session via Zoom. They may return sooner than that if proof of negative Covid test or alternate diagnosis is provided from a doctor. Please report any absences to the RTMS office (847) 298-1750.
