Our first College Band Night was a huge success and a FULL HOUSE! Massive thanks to the directors from colleges and universities all across the state of Alabama who drove miles upon miles to speak to these students.
This was not just about Buckhorn students; we had families from schools spanning north Alabama come to hear about some of the possibilities that await them beyond high school.
Additionally, a huge thank you to the parents who helped organize the event, coordinate food, and make it all happen. We truly couldn’t function without our Buckhorn Band village!

Much of what the students will be performing is college level literature - with pieces featuring senior pianist Zach Cargile, alto saxophonist Bailey Terkeurst, and a lot more exciting material.
We hope you will all come see and hear what these students have worked on since August!

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
https://www.hsvutil.org/community_resources/programs/sign_up_to_round_up.php
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!
