Our ultimate goal is to place each child in an environment that is comfortable and conducive to the growth of the individual. Much consideration is given to appropriately matching learning styles and personalities of both students and teachers. Of equal importance is designing a classroom in which the children will positively influence each other. This is a highly reflective process completed by the Prairie View Elementary faculty. Parents are encouraged to share their views with us in writing concerning their child’s needs, their learning styles, and the characteristics of the teacher that would best meet the needs of their child. Please do not designate a specific teacher name. We must hear from you by March 7 so your input can be considered for spring placement. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Spring Book Fair at PVE will be held during Read Across America week, March 7-11. We will celebrate with fun dress up days all week.

Monday— Reading Is Active (wear your sweats)

Tuesday- Reading is relaxing ( Wear your pj’s or comfy clothes)

Wednesday- Wacky Wednesday. (Dress wacky)

Thursday–We Are Wild About Reading (Wear your animal print)

Friday- PVE Students Rock Reading (Wear your spirit wear)

Registration is now open for the 2022 Summer School programs for WSD students entering grades K-12 in the fall. The WSD will be offering a Summer School Program for K-5 students called Summer Journey, which is free of charge for our families and is an exciting approach to learning for our students. Middle school summer enrichment classes for students in grades 6-8, and high school credit recovery & advancement courses for students grades 9-12 will also be offered. WSD will be hosting their 6th annual film festival this year and we'd love for our students to participate. The film festival is a wonderful way for our students to showcase their talent and creativity. Check out the information below for more details.
