It’s Time for the FSA Clothing Drive

Wednesday, March 30 - Thursday, April 7

It's time for spring cleaning so please DIVE into your closets. In addition to clothing from the Lost & Found, the FSA collects and donates clothing and personal articles for children and adults. Primary recipients are families in need at the Para Los Niños schools ( and students at UCLA who are homeless and/or facing severe financial difficulties (in coordination with St. Albans Episcopal Church in Westwood (

We will be collecting donations the first day we return from spring break.

What to donate:

● Gently-used clothing for babies, kids, adults, including shoes

New underwear, socks

● Clothing and shoes appropriate for UCLA students to wear to interviews (new or gently used)

● Toiletries, such as toothbrushes, hair products, toothpaste, soap — especially travel-sized (new and unused only!)

● Personal articles such as backpacks, lunch boxes and purses (new or gently used)

Bins will be at the EC Yard, carpool area and front office.

If you have questions or would like to help with the collection or sorting, please email Lisa Baskin at or Vardit Green at

Organic Kids is ready to take your order!

Click on a date starting March 30 and you will be taken to a menu for that day. Select the options you prefer and repeat this process for other days on the calendar. In your initial order, a $10 semi-annual charge will appear. This is for the care and cleaning of the reusable bento boxes that will help us reduce waste at our school.

Please remember this is a trial period and during this time the program will be carefully examined and monitored and the views of the community collected. Please participate in the survey that will be circulated later in the year.

If you have any questions, please direct them to the school at

Also, please remember that you still need to pack your child a snack everyday.

Family Read Aloud Celebration Party

Friday, April 1

5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. / Dino Yard

This year our celebration will take place on the Dino Yard, so bring your blankets and enjoy pizza and desserts while listening to stories and playing literary bingo. After dinner, children will separate into groups to take turns to read aloud from their own favorite book. Please help your child choose a selection no longer than 5 minutes. There’s still plenty of time for all of our families, from Early Childhood to Upper, to be a part of the celebration. Find a great book, a cozy place, and read aloud together.
