In-person Students Scheduled to Return Jan. 19
If parents have any questions regarding the in-person option for students in grades PreK to 5th, please contact the building principal at your child's school.
Reminder - Friday Early Dismissal for ELC & EleMiddles
The next early dismissal for the EleMiddle schools and Early Learning Center will be Friday, January 15.
Early dismissal times depend on the building's start time. For details, please visit the district or school website calendar.
Share Your Thoughts - Normandy Facilities Survey
The Normandy Schools Collaborative would like you to share your opinion on a few important issues to assist us in our facilities planning.
The survey is being managed by ExcellenceK12, a company that works with school districts on community research. It should take you 3 to 5 minutes to complete.
Please note the survey can only be taken once per device (laptop, tablet, etc.). Your answers are confidential.

The survey will close Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
During the same time as the online survey, 300 school district residents will be contacted at random to participate in a phone survey.

NSC Grab & Go Meal Program Resumes for 2021
Families can pickup meals from the Normandy Grab & Go program 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday at select sites (see flier at right), now through Friday, January 15.
Don't forget -
- There is no food pickup at Jefferson School. Families are free to pick-up meals at any of the other locations.
- We also have the Friday Food Box giveaway on Friday at Normandy High School, 4 to 6 p.m.

Normandy Parents as Teachers Receives National Recognition as Blue Ribbon Affiliate
The Normandy Schools Collaborative Parents as Teachers (NCS/PAT) program has earned a prestigious endorsement from the Parents as Teachers National Center, Inc., (PATNC) as a Blue Ribbon Affiliate, making it one of the top-performing home visiting affiliates within the PATNC’s international network.
PATNC affiliates are family-focused organizations that have chosen the Parents as Teachers’ home visiting model as one of the services they offer to families with small children.

Gray, Barnes Join Normandy Leadership Team
Shonda Gray has joined the Normandy Schools Collaborative as its new Career and College Coordinator.
In her new role, Gray will collaborate with stakeholders in the business and education sectors to develop and lead a comprehensive career readiness program for Normandy students. Gray is also responsible for ensuring that students receive the appropriate guidance to develop and improve necessary post-secondary skills, introducing students to a variety of career options. She will work with these stakeholders to provide opportunities for students to explore their areas of interest by way of internships, apprenticeships, or similar opportunities.
Dr. George Barnes has joined the Normandy Schools Collaborative as its Director of EleMiddle Education.
In this newly created role, Dr. Barnes will serve as the administrator of the EleMiddle (grades 1-8) schools, developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum, and managing budgets to promote the professional development of staff and improve student achievement.
