Special Night for Three AHS Students!
It was a memorable night Monday in Dallas as three Eagles earned special recognition during the 21st Annual Tom Landry Scholarship Banquet!
The students participated in football and band during Argyle’s participation in the 2021 Tom Landry Classic. The recipients were selected based on academic efforts, community service efforts, and leadership among their peers. Each of the students invited the educator who has most positively influenced them during high school, and those individuals were honored as well.
Argyle Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Todd Rodgers, Director of Bands Jason Bird, and Argyle Offensive Line Coach Ben Rudolph each attended in support of the students.
The recipients and teachers were: Grant Chaney (received the Sportsradio 1310 scholarship) invited Jeanna Sutton (teaches English I and Student Leadership at Argyle High School) Corbin Fanning (received the LST Marketing scholarship) invited Michael Lemish (Percussion Director with the Argyle Band) Michael Splain (received the FairLife scholarship) invited Izzy Fowler (Assistant Principal at Argyle High School).
