Self-Management Goal
Students will understand the concept of self-management and why it is important both socially and academically.
Building Background
Today, we are going to talk about something really important. What we are going to talk about is self management. But what is self management? Can anyone tell me what they think the word “self” means? The word self means “me.” We are going to be learning something that will help you! Now, what does the word “management” mean? This is a tough one. The word management means to control something. We are going to learn how you can control yourself and when it is important to control yourself.

Create a Mind Jar
Materials Needed:
Distilled water
1/2 cup glitter glue or clear glue
1–2 teaspoons glitter (optional)
Empty water bottle
Hot glue gun
Instructions:
1. Fill the water bottle with ½ cup of distilled water.
2. Add ½ cup of glitter glue and additional glitter, if desired.
3. Fill the remainder of the bottle with distilled water.
4. To secure the top, use a hot glue gun to squeeze a ring of glue around the lid.
5. Shake bottle to distribute the glitter.
