Classroom Update

Grade 6 Mosaic

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Spring Break! Our family enjoyed some warmer weather in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, where I first began teaching. The students have shared several experiences that they have had over break as well. It has been great getting back into the routine of school, especially since the weather appears to be showing that spring is actually here!

I wanted to also let you know that our class discussed the changes in store for the Mosaic program next year as the program moves to Eden Lake. Although the students themselves are not directly impacted, I know many families have siblings that are impacted by this decision. Our family is as well. My daughter, Mary, and I will be taking the adventure to Eden Lake next year. While change is hard and we will miss Forest Hills greatly, we are looking forward to the excitement of being in a new school! There are several Eden Lake 'alumni' in our class who shared lots of positives about this incredible school. Please know that if you have any questions about Mosaic for next year, I will do my best to address your questions.

On another note, I would like to offer up a special classroom "Mosaic Graduation and Celebration" for the end of the year. I am looking into locations to have an end of the year family picnic. More information coming soon!

Lastly, although I am thinking about an end of the year celebration, we still have much to accomplish before that time comes. Please note some important dates of events happening in April and May.

Thank you for all that you continue to do to support your child this year. Spring emotions can run high for sixth graders as they think about upcoming changes. We continue to focus on daily routines and high academic expectations as they finish the year.
