Nevada is the state number 36 and was created in 1864.
CHARACTERISTICS
Nevada is in the west of the United States. The capital is Carson City, although the largest city is Las Vegas, known for its casinos and gaming legalization.
The majority of the population of the state is in Reno, Las Vegas and Carson City.
History
The spanish people were the ones who gave the name of Nevada, because of the snow covered mountains in winter.
During the 1870s were found in Nevada large deposits of silver, which earned him the nickname The Silver State. Also, it is a major producer of oil, gold and sand.
Before the main source of income was from mining, but now is tourism.
Important cities
The most important cities are Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City (the capital).
