Ancient Egyptian Religion
.
Summarization Of Research
The Ancient Egyptians were known to believe in "Many Gods." They had as many as 2,000 Gods and Goddesses. Some of them were worshiped throughout the entire country and some others were only worshiped locally. They were often represented as half human and half animal. The Egyptian religion was mainly based on polytheism. Temples were considered to be the "living places" of the Gods. The Egyptians saw death not as negative, but as positive. They thought it was moving on to a better life. They thought you could be the best you could be after death. Therefore, they believed in rebirth. Every human was thought to have three different souls, which are known as the "ka", "ba", and "akh." All in all the Egyptians looked at religion as one of the most important parts of their lives.
