May 2, 2016
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers are often referred to as superheros. I have seen a list of teacher superpowers that include powers such as X-ray vision, bladders of steel or the power of super patience. In addition to these humorous superpowers, you each have many other superpowers. I believe that these superpowers are not just limited to teachers but to every adult who interacts with our students. Each of you have the ability to make each student feel valued and important. You magically help students discover the joy of learning. You sacrifice your time for the benefit of our students. You use your power of creativity to help students overcome hurdles in their learning.
Being a superhero can be exhausting at times, but you never give up. Sometimes it can be a thankless job, but this week is a time for us to take a pause and thank each other for all we do. Thank you!
Bridget's schedule is slightly different this week. See below for details.
